FCS Awareness Day

Friday 5th November 2021

It's time for our annual FCS 10g Challenge!

When explaining their dietary limitations, patients often find that the listener doesn't quite 'get it'. It's hard to capture how challenging and life-altering it is to eat less than 10g of any type of fat a day, restrict added sugars and drink no alcohol.  And it's hard for people to truly understand how living like this impacts the lives of patients, and the lives of all those around them.

So we conceived the idea of challenging people to follow our dietary recommendations for one day.  Just for one day.  And with no symptoms of FCS if things don't go to plan!

Although we're only asking you to do this for one day, patients have to do this every day, relentlessly, or risk the awful symptoms of FCS including abdominal pain (often severe), pancreatitis, fatigue, brain fog, and many more (see our page Symptoms of FCS)

If you're a patient reading this page, why not encourage those around you to have a go?  Or if you're contemplating trying, why not check out our handy Dietary Guidance sheet.

Can you do this?  Take the FCS 10g Fat Challenge and find out!
